Waddensky is located near Wadden Sea World Heritage, one of the darkest locations of The Netherlands. On clear nights, thousands of stars are visible to the naked eye. Waddensky aims to increase awareness of the special qualities of a dark night sky. This is done through the organisation of stargazing events, the development of tools for amateur astronomers and advisory in projects that bring astronomy to the attention of a wide public.
